No, because LLMs don’t understand context, and generally try to come up with the next most probable word. So ask them a legal question, and it will put together probable words without knowing the words in that order make a legal case that doesn’t exist.

And I probably shouldn’t, but I can’t resist. Powerful people committing suicide when they realize their situation is hopeless goes back to at least Cleopatra. He fits that profile perfectly.

I hope anyone reading this who is on the fence realizes how much actual evidence your argument ignores.

And 1 more important piece. You mentioned he was in prison before. But he found his way out rather quickly. This time, it was obvious he was not coming out.

I’m too lazy to look how many cases of clear suicide where the family said that, but I’ve read about many.

And I’m not saying he was “suicidal”. I’m saying rationally, it was his best outcome.

And you are ignoring the fact that it’s mainly male prisoners who abuse child molesters, not female.

Do we have any reason to believe this would do Epstein himself any good while he was in jail? If he could have blackmailed himself out of prison, he would have done it sooner. If not, suicide is still the only way he avoids the awful things prison had in store for him.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Amazon prevents robots from crawling its book samples, but I’m not sure either way.

Good point. I should have said your blog stopped it from making up answers. I’ve been listening to podcasts about LLMs, and this need to make things up is the scariest part for me.

I’ve never understood this. Imagine for a minute you were some rich persons consigliere and it was your job to make Epstein dead. Would you get your hands dirty? Or would you visit him and remind him how badly other prisoners treat child abusers and how he would be better off dead?

The amusing part is by writing this blog, you finally forced ChatGPT to get the right answer. But your original point still stands.

I know they are not recommended, but it wasn’t that long ago they offered to sign up for this kind of health scan in the mall. And I’ve seen a few stories about how some companies require executives over a certain age to get a full body scan as a condition of employment.

I’ve named my fists Statler and Waldorf, because at my age, they are mainly going to hang around and complain.

The chocolate in Hershey Park are the best tasting I’ve ever had because they pipe the factory smell into the room where they give you a free chocolate. The smell makes the chocolate taste better.

When I discussed this with relatives, it was sad to realize that trying to tell them the truth would be attacking their remaining faith in the system. I just gave up to let them continue to believe.

Imagine you were the person assigned to kill Epstein? Would you get your hands dirty? Or would you explain to Epstein what other prisoners do to people like him? Make him feel better off dead, maybe remind him the best way to do it. Oh, and maybe remind the guards what a scum bag he is.

Do you have a reference for this? I can’t find anyone accusing him of stealing the concept for Anora.

Ticketmaster tells me that Reno is part of the Northern California area, so it’s not unheard of.

There was a study that showed that students who were accepted into Elite schools, and did not go for various reasons, had the same salaries as the people who went. So I’m not convinced there’s much of an advantage to attending these schools.

The truth is we have free ACH transfers in the US. But they are so unregulated and potentially dangerous that we have to jump through weird hoops to make sure they are being used correctly. My credit union makes them relatively easy, but my ex’s bank makes it impossible to figure out how.

Hope yours goes better than mine. My doctor agrees I need physical therapy. The soonest I can get a physical therapy appointment is 2 months away.

Wow, another reason I’m glad I made a point of getting my kids into a good school. While my kids started with memorizing sight words, they quickly moved on to phonics and sounding out words to identify them. I can’t imagine getting this kind of education.
