I agree. Tho' I have been shocked at just how good gpt-oss-20b is and gpt-oss-20b runs on my five year old laptop.

I suppose it could just transport all humans to the moon, and separate us from other life forms. (Which humans still probably would not like.) Wiping humans out is a sign the AGI has gone bad.

If you have any doubt that AGI is close, I recommend trying running Gemma3:1b or gpt-oss-20b on your computer (gemma3 requires about 4 GiB, gpt-oss about 16 GiB). Ollama or llama.cpp can be used. After you have downloaded the model, turn off your network.

Compiling the first example program currently is easier if you switch the import std; to the more traditional:
