I carved this out of mammoth ivory years ago and wore it forever. I would still be wearing it, but for a random encounter. Standing in line, I saw someone with cool tribal tattoos. They were traditional Micronesian and represented his family history. I really liked him, so I gave it to him.

Although I sell mostly bronze and silver pendants, it's so much fun to carve while listening to an audiobook. This is my flame pendant in ebony. #jewelry #handcarved

I was originally inspired by a man I met while sailing in the British Virgin Islands, who'd sold all of his possessions and bought a boat to sail around the world, financing his lifestyle by selling jewelry he had hand carved out of bone. Since mid-2005, I've been carving and casting jewelry.
