This is the issue here. You can't ban most or any of these things so the next best thing is make anyone who participates or aids in anyone a target of judicial harassment.

The dismissal of Trump’s thuggish and performative defamation claim against CNN for “big lie” rhetoric is obviously right, and that’s good. But to me it illustrates why the Right’s goal of overturning New York Times v. Sullivan is deeply concerning and ambiguous in scope. /1

Evidently Ryan now says that what he meant was the atrocities of the Tulsa Race Massacre were committed by evil and racist *individuals, but the massacre was not inherent in *their race, so school kids should not be made to feel bad about it just because they're white, too. Something like that.

👀 As many trust & safety professionals have noted, the fediverse has a CSAM problem that needs to be dealt with. But I'm not sure just flat out revoking a domain name is the way to do that.
