Archaeologist, geologist, musician, and author. Believer in freedom, love, and kindness. Married. From New Orleans. www.johnrgreene.net
A friend has released a mystery novel that was written by his late husband. An act of love. It is set in New Orleans in the later 1970’s (shortly after the time when my New Orleans novel is set) and offers insights into gay life in the city at the time and the academic milieu. I highly recommend it

Few things in life are cuter than Elly May’s ears when zoomies are filmed in slow motion.

Time travel, supernatural beings, and a battle between good and evil. Time is fluid in the Crescent City. My book’s cover was drawn from a picture I took in the French Quarter. We rented an apartment much later and discovered this. Look closely at the book cover and background buildings.

Teddy is a very cute pup. This I ours, Elly May. She looks a bit evil in this pic, but she is as sweet as honey.

My brother going to the Krewe of Tucks ball as Moses with the 15…oops…er, 10 commandments. My sis-in-law went as Nefertari.

Elly May’s first snow experience.

You who are not from New Orleans/S. Louisiana can’t appreciate how rare and joyous this epic snow event is.

There’s something about cooking pasta putanesca that warms the soul. Particularly when it’s accompanied by a nice, Tuscan Chianti Classico.

Interesting contrast between dark, fall honey and the lighter (partially crystallized) spring honey we harvested earlier. Spring honey primarily from the Chinese Tallow tree and Fall honey primarily from Goldenrod. Distinct difference in taste as well.

Elly May doing her best impersonation of Lauren Bacall. All you have to do is whistle.

Can you add me to the list? My historical fantasy novel, French Quarter Saints, contains time travel, the supernatural, VooDoo, and the battle between Good and Evil. Thanks!

True story. I
Selected a pic from dozens I took in the French Quarter to be my time travel novel cover, and had it drawn. 1 1/2 years later we rented an apt in the Quarter. Months later it was pointed out to me. Look closely at the buildings and book cover. Coincidence??? #timetravel #synchronicity

I’d like to introduce myself to #bluesky .I’ve written a great deal of scientific/technical, but only recently dipped my toe into writing fiction. My debut novel, French Quarter Saints, is a well researched trip thru NO’s past.Set in 1972, my MC makes friends who show him time, and reality, are fluid
