I know that map! That was a hard one to create and I’m still not 100% happy with the result, but very pleased to see it’s still getting used.

Honestly, the only app that even approaches LaTeX in obtuseness and sheer unhelpfulness when something guess wrong is ffmpeg. And that’s saying something. About which one doesn’t really matter. Of course, when either one works you achieve something that shouldn’t even be possible from the CLI.

Glad it wasn’t me missing the obvious. Proposal: Podman image + code + source data (if not safeguarded) == run your own damn 2001 OAC! ;-)

I’m going to push out the boat a bit further: the 2011 OAC shape file download from #GeoDS includes scores for the subgroups but the 2021 CSV doesn’t… 🤨

Think issue is it’s often only way to have any input at all. I pointed out issues with a problematic design and inexperienced developer which didn’t agree with local plan. 3 years later Ombudsman agreed and it will cost a lot more to fix now! Early conversations with neighbours FTW

Broadly agree, except you’re not able to hire cover for either of those two cases. Or not until long after the module has had to run! We try to have team teaching on compulsory but can cancel others if staff fall ill/leave/on sabbatical. But none of that helps if module is already running.

I am actually contemplating travelling to SF to see colleagues but paying the virtual fee.
