The difference just having that one side missing the hearing aid boost always amazes me. My better ear is only about 40%. My audiologist based this on the audibility index rating on my last hearing test. I suspect my right ear might be even lower now.

Oof. I've never had my deviated septum repaired becuse my nose surgery in 5th grade was so painful. And unnecessary - they misread the x-ray and came out saying it was an old break, can't do anything, come back when you're done growing. Nope.
