This sounds like a description of frontotemporal dementia. I'm not an expert on the subject, but I've read enough on it to recognize some similarities.

The break-up of the PAC-12 was the tipping point for me in terms of regarding power conferences with any semblance of lasting respect. They're not conferences any more-- they're promotions, desperate to sign any program that will bring enough TV viewers, history and competitive merit be damned.

I grew up on the East Coast. I have been a fan of college football all my life. When I was learning about the game, as often as I could, I'd stay up on Saturdays to watch PAC-10(then 12) and WAC(then MWC) games. What happened in expansion to Washington State and Oregon State was wrong.

Cubs fan here. I will always be grateful to him for his time in Chicago, and I'm glad to see him at least as beloved in Philadelphia as he was here.
