Today I Learned … Zotero
I made my students a little “book” (just using Google slides) to show them how you all answered my question about how you take notes for research. Just to show the variety.
How Do Scholars Take Notes?
How do scholars take notes? I like seeing examples of different people’s notetaking, so I asked scholars to show me how they take notes for research.

Knock out three review copies, get three more! And two MORE queued in the wings…{sigh} So much time, so little to read.

So, the French press revisit came on the heels of some other revisits: pour over and Costa Rican chorreador. Inspired by an ARC recently read - Black as Hell, Strong as Death, Sweet as Love: A Coffee Travel Guide (review here: www.goodreads.com/review/show/...). Aeropress is still a superior go to.

I haven’t made French press coffee in probably 12 years as it is my least favorite “snob” brew.

My new Cowsar burr grinder easily beats my old Capresso in grind range, and it has almost no static issues.

Verdict? Properly ground beans, brew timed to spec…adding the press back into the rotation.

I am a voracious reader and when I get “reader’s block”…
it’s disturbing. I usually turn to my comfort books. Rereading works that have entertained me over and over - Simon Hawke,
Philip Farmer, Jack Chalker… This time? Three more ARCs on top of the other review copy I already started. Yikes!

My son said that he thought my black profile pic on FB focused on the negative instead of the positive. This is going to come off as negative, but I don’t know if there is enough positive right now to counter the overwhelming negatives happening. I need to think on this. Meanwhile…here’s Tessa.
