She eats in the restaurant I bartend at semi-regularly… one of her aides made me snap a pic of them and said, “this might be the next governor of Arizona!” to which I replied, “oh, I know who she is.” I’m glad they didn’t press further bc I almost certainly wouldn’t have a job there any more.

The equivocation from the left is so infuriating! So sick of the party being dragged by the tail through “issues” that the right has manufactured to stir up social discomfit. This wasn’t a problem when “no one” cared about women’s sports and now that it’s here, it’s clear that “no one” still does.

I think you’re misunderstanding the fact that weaponizing the “uncloseting” of trans or not trans persons in pursuit of headlines and attention is a form of transphobia irrespective of the target. It is stirring the pot of social normalcy to achieve ick responses from people that are less “woke”

2/ lines that I have always been led to believe almost certainly had a huge impact on the South’s willingness to plod on: the awful abuses of the Confederate Home Guard. Is this apocryphal or true? Thanks for the podcast! Love it.

To be clear, that was entirely me trying to find some humor in this truly appalling situation that endangers innocent children—it’s kind of the only coping mechanism I have left any more. Apologies if I offended anyone.
