One thing I learned as a librarian about copyright and fair use is that you don’t want to fuck with Disney.

As a hiring manager I recently received a cover letter that was obviously created with AI. It missed the mark so much it was hilarious. I feel bad for the person who submitted it but AI wrote the cover letter for a job with similar words that were in the job title but with very different meanings.

My 3rd grade teacher in the mid 80s (who had been teaching since the 50s) had a paddle. He never used it on a child that I’m aware of, but he’d carry it around the classroom and smack our desks with it if we were not on task and quietly doing our work.

My cats are all named for literary or mythological characters. Jane, Skye, and Leto. I used to have a Loki. Leto fits both categories. I always wanted to name my cats after flowers or songs but none of those names have ever stuck.
