I cut my family off a year ago, after Q and I went to Michigan for thanksgiving and spent two days at my mom’s house, where she questioned every decision I was making and made Q cry because “she treats you like you’re a child” and “she doesn’t respect your decisions”.

I think that last one of Voyager was used for the "Full Circle" novel cover, as well. As soon as I saw it, it looked familiar, even though the orientation is different on the book.

A picture of a page from the book “Mood Machine” by Liz Pelly- Ann Arbor Listrict Library was another of the hirst libraries to offer local streaming music-it has hosted a digital music collection since 2002, The concept of libraries providing free access to digital music downloads, or what some called "down-loans," was being explored in other countries in the early 2000s, as well. For example, Danish libraries in Copenhagen and Frederiksberg began offering legal, digital music files to patrons as early as November 2002, through a program called "Nermusik." The Ann Arbor library began licensing Local music for streaming starting in 2010, including a partnership with electronic label Ghostly International. According to Eli Neiburger, the library's deputy director, building the library's own streaming and mp3 downloads infrastructure directly into its website has been an important decision. A lot of the local music material— referred to as the Ann Arbor Music & Performance Server (AAMPS)-is stored in the library's own data center, in its basement. "It's really not that hard to serve an mp3 or other music file," he told me. While many libraries turn to outside tech vendors to help run digital offerings, Neiburger fels strongly about the library controlling its own digi-cal infrastructure—an ethos that extends beyond just music streaming- and iths to do with how commercial and streamlined the internet has become over the past two decades. "The early days of the web were ones where there was a lot more variety and a lot more opportunity, he went on. you ve seen so much consolidation over the years, public libraries are one of the few forces resisting that.

My old scooter, which is my primary vehicle, needed enough work that it made more sense to trade it in and upgrade to a 2025 model. Now it’s a much closer match to Little Blue, which Q rides, and I can cruise at 75. Not that I want to, but extra power is extra safety with how much I’m on freeways.

Is the “floor mat instead of a bed frame and mattress” setup being on sale a recession indicator? The ad also shows it being used as a couch, if that makes a difference

As I was reading this, the classic “how many citizens could even pass the test” thought came into my mind, but then when I saw that they’re looking for a “true attachment to the constitution” I laughed so hard that I died

Speaking in Washington last month, USCIS Director Joseph Edlow said that the current test is "just too easy" because some questions require simple answers, like naming the governor of an applicant's home state, or two federal holidays. "We need to know more," Edlow said. "Especially if we're going to really understand whether someone has a true attachment to the Constitution as required by the statute."

There are two songs I am dreading playing at big band rehearsal tonight - one because the band plays a unison rhythm wrong and so it’s become difficult for me to lock in to the beat they’re rushing, and the other because I’ve never played the very complex part, and the music I have for it is this
A piece of sheet music for a drum player that has large stretches where nothing is written other than rests. There are no notes on tempo, style, hits with the horns, or anything else that would be necessary to play this successfully with little rehearsal.
