The Pixel version probably is one of the better ones, but most of the time I'm using it to remove my nametag and company logo from pics taken in uniform, which is probably easy mode for the model.

(I guess I should qualify that I mean AI running off a data center remotely somewhere, my GPU does have cool machine learning "AI" features that are actually great but those are all local and not energy intensive.)

the singular thing I do find it convenient for is the magic erase feature on my phone, which is nice, but also something I could absolutely do without if needed. Everything else I've tried it for it's either bad at or there's no practical use for.

Also if you're using mobile web there's absolutely no point in setting that PIN right now because the actual interface for DMs after this update once you get past that is completely broken.
November 13, 2025 at 8:32 AM
It didn't send to anyone. The script just assumes that once you've opened and closed the DM that you've sent something.

Anyway it's funny that it's Strickland bringing this stuff up because while the situation these men are in is pretty irregular and they probably shouldn't be taking communion, Strickland's situation is functionally schismatic and merits formal excommunication.

(That's worse.)

AND

"To perform the function of sponsor, a person must....be a catholic....who lives a life of faith which befits the role to be undertaken; not labour under a canonical penalty, whether imposed or declared."(Canons 874 and 893)

Literally no way to square this with your civil spouse as sponsor.
November 13, 2025 at 5:37 AM
BUT

Can. 892 "Insofar as possible, there is to be a sponsor for the person to be confirmed; the sponsor is to take care that the confirmed person behaves as a true witness of Christ and faithfully fulfills the obligations inherent in this sacrament."
November 13, 2025 at 5:36 AM
Can. 890 says "pastors....are to take care that the faithful are properly instructed to receive the sacrament and come to it at the appropriate time."

My amateur read of these canons together would say that the pastor should've discouraged, but not refused, confirmation in this circumstance.
November 13, 2025 at 5:33 AM
Canon 885 indicates those who "properly and reasonably seek it" should be given confirmation. An adult Catholic who is not yet confirmed arguably fits this, though Can. 889 indicates the confirmand should be "suitably instructed, properly disposed, and able to renew the baptismal promises".

That man is overdue for excommunication.
