Kind interested human
I’m guessing they don’t take the short cut I do when making collards…

This was this morning from three miles east of the Marine Corps Memorial.
(Of course my photo doesn’t capture the true beauty and magnitude)

I had no idea Amy Wallace from the old Books of Lists was the author!
(My late mom and I couldn’t get enough of those books…

When Hal started talking about flintlocks the other day I smiled and looked up at this book on a shelf.
I was lucky enough to have had a mom who bought the Foxfire books and annotated a bit.
She left this world in 1992 at 53.
Mind the vodka kids…
Some of us have the disease.

Sun rising over Washington from Arlington on this crisp cool day…

This is why I repost!
I’m working about 3 miles from the Pentagon swinging a pick-axe at 59.
Priced out of ACA by Republicans long ago.
So, uninsured self-employed masonry contractor, happy to get gig replacing a concrete driveway.
But I’ll repost all day while filling this truck!

I always stand by the “every little bit helps” theory and am pleased someone reposted this little message!
November 12, 2025 at 1:00 AM
Anyone have thoughts on this theory that I thought would be a very big story?

Pictures are free now, so I take many.
Mostly of things that make me happy.

For anyone interested in a really good perspective on George Clooney these days, I highly recommend today’s Mayday Morning Show.
Comments near the end, but all well worth the time.

As one of your constituents, I thank you for your attention in this matter.
I’m busy jackhammering at age 59 in Arlington, and I was curious as to how far the workings at the East Wing were from here.
I noted Mr Apple has yet to update the maps as to its removal.
I’ll forward your message.

I was 13 in 1979 and delivering the Post over in Arlington and was even awarded a little plaque for delivering the paper I respected knowing all about Watergate.
Then I had it delivered for decades but dropped it two years ago when if became apparent Bezos wasn’t really shining a light

I always enjoy closer looks.
In case others do as well;

The sun is warming things up over here in Arlington, and this is one of those days when I got my act together and set up the drip maker the night before
It’s so nice to press “brew now,” through bleary eyes and wander off elsewhere…

I just saw this and was gonna call the bastards, but they don’t work Saturdays evidently…
October 25, 2025 at 11:30 AM
I keep these pics in the “save” file, for just this purpose.
I swear this is not a set-up!
I’m a masonry contractor, and this is an insurance job regarding a stone patio built improperly over a basement.
We were called for meeting to stop leak.
I saw the lone LEGO in a giant basement right off…

Some constants in life seem to remain.
This is a Washington Post article from 1980.
Ms Boodman told my mom (who was 1st female ‘reporter’ in Gannett Org at Elmira Star Gazette)
that this would be a compendium article where no one person would be discerned
She was less than truthful.
I was 14 yr old

And one time we even drove up from DC to see that apocalyptically odd show at the Highgate airport in 1995!
October 22, 2025 at 12:41 PM
So, I just found and followed you through yet another logical thinker that happened upon me.
Although not pertinent to this post, I felt obliged to glance around my rented rooms for a similar skull and roses as your pic.
I didn’t have to look far.

Although I’m no photographer, I do have an IPhone, hope, and an Arlington funeral flag that I carried five miles to St. John’ Church across from the White House on No Kings 2.0.
The flag is back up at home flying 30’ in the air, and at the ready.
And Hope is the name of my Rep in VA State House!

While it most definitely is the People’s House, the historical association’s two-volume set does leave wiggle room typical of the abode.
His ridiculous damage can be restored.
One could watch the documentary on Notre Dame for inspiration.
First, the Epstein Files to attempt to stop this carnage.

I just saw this and looked up at this picture I keep on the wall.
The boy holding the baseball is my grandpa.

I never miss a chance to vote!
And I’d do so even if they didn’t give away those nice, and very important stickers.
It’s awesome to live in a country where that happens.
And we must keep it that way…
