And for the millionth time, given NO majority anywhere and controlling absolutely nothing coupled with millions of people being denied food and thousands either jobless or working with no pay...
what, pray tell, would you have done differently.

I would have been, and still would be, quite proud to have you as the president Ms Harris.
I miss being proud that I am an American and hate being ashamed of it.

What should they have done instead of what they did?
Keep in mind that you have no majority and are trying to negotiate with people who vowed to destroy democracy and who threw a $3 million Gatsby party while millions of Americans were starving and going broke.
What should the plan have been?

Yes, caves.
That's the language MAGA uses, so why not the Dems?
Just like the shutdown agreement . You could sound weak by saying the Dems caved, or you could sound strong by saying the Dems proved they are the adults in the room and stepped up to solve an immediate problem.
It's about messaging.

Newsweek?
Really?
They've been shilling for Trump for quite a while. I wouldn't put much stock in anything they write.

Take him!
And keep him busy so we can find someone else to play QB. He may be in demand in social circles, but as a QB, he leaves a lot to be desired.
He was good in his prime, but his prime is just a small image in the rear view mirror.

The Steelers' biggest problem is Aaron Rodgers.
He's overrated and over the hill.
There is zero chemistry. When Ben was playing, and new players were brought in, it seemed as if it took just days for things to jell.
Rodgers doesn't seem as if he wants to get to know anyone.
He seems too distant.

Instead of all the pearl clutching, why not turn the messaging around? Point out that since the children running the gov't, couldn't run a bake sale, the Dems had to step up and offer solutions. Then point out the positives of this vote (they're there, if you look), and just who the adults are.

At the risk of sounding snarky (and please forgive me if I do),
WHAT IS THE ALTERNATIVE?
What, specifically, can we/should we do between now and then?

No surprise here.

People coming together is a nice thought, but at best, it could only happen in pockets.
The vast majority of people in this country either have no idea of what's happening or simply don't care.
That's reality.
Tuesday's voting was encouraging, but it wasn't leverage. The midterms are our leverage.

IF... we could come together as a society, we could do a lot. But we're not there and likely will never be.
So the alternative was to "hold out" until...when?
Until the cows come home? Until a few million more people suffer? What choice was there? I've yet to read about anyone's better idea.

For the umpteenth time:
DUMP RODGERS.
His best days are behind him. Yes, he has occasional flashes of his old self, but truth be told, he's over the hill, and there's zero chemistry.
Play Rudolph and develop Howard.
Build a solid team for the future instead of chasing rainbows for one season.
