We need a viable candidate to win in 2028, and we need to win, and hold, both the House and the Senate.

It's not the real answer, and here's why. If, and I say if with a lot of emphasis, Dems manage to find a candidate that can win in 2028, and they also take the House and the Senate, Republicans will fillibusted the hell out of that. Then, when they get into office, they do it with Conservatives

The October Surprise has largely been debunked. I just think he was, in many ways, betrayed by his own party. They failed to see what they, with his leadership, could accomplish. That hurt him more than any CIA back-channel deal.

He was a man of character and a hero to boot. He was smart, representative of true faith, and, above all, a good man. He loved, and was loved, by his family. The Republican Party destroyed him for all these things. They knew they paled in comparison.

I agree. The law will only allow limited redactions. But the law has not stopped this administration yet. They simply don't care. And England will not risk the diplomatic disaster that releasing an un-redacted version might cause.
