My pawn shop cheapie, with PlanetTone pickups. Venus Isle (shown) and Full Throttle (bridge). Yeah, okay... I know the string spacing between the pickup and the guitar is wrong (not by much at this angle!), and the radius is a mismatch, too. So? Let ye who adjusts polepieces cast the first Small Stone.

New pickups day!
Cheap Temu single-coil (to soon be replaced w/PlanetTone Venus Isle) and PlanetTone FullThrottle pickups in an Indonesian Ibanez Gio GAX50 guitar from c.2000, which is a bangin' player. Pawn shop bargain, owing to its rough condition (see chunk of finish no longer there, for example). Same as the other photo, but with strings on it.

Will anyone be interested in hearing the difference between trashy Indonesian ceramic pickups, and something else, this weekend? Because honestly, if not, I could take more naps and spiral further into hopelessness. It's an option.
A cheap, Temu single-coil pickup and a PlanetTone Full Throttle humbucker, which might replace the Ibanex Powersound pickups in my cheap, Cort-made Indonesian Ibanez Gio GAX50 this weekend. The Temu pickup will be replaced soon with a PlanetTone Venus Isle, but that may be 30+ days away. It's on order, but these are built as they're ordered, in Colorado. I have little use for a neck humbucker, so...

My note to Mike Turner: Mike, I just got off the phone with an aide from your Dayton office. Apparently, it was my sad duty to be the first to let this aide know of the termination of probationary staff at WPAFB this morning. Surely by now, it must be clear to you the aims of the present administration are not in the nation's best interests, or certainly not in any regard that I recognize. The cozying-up to the Russians, blaming Ukraine for "starting the war," your removal from the chair of the House Intelligence Committee... all of this is more than simply alarming. It requires swift, sure action, and as my representative, I ask you to consider joining the millions of Americans alive today who will stop at nothing to preserve our democracy. To do any less dishonors those who fought and died to ensure we honor no kings, nor allow billionaires to access our private financial and health data for reasons unknowable and unexplained. You must act immediately, and communicate those actions clearly to your constituents if you wish to not be though of as a collaborator in these mad schemes to destroy our way of life.
