I was supposed to have a training session at 7am. Ugh! She cancelled. Whew! I had physical therapy at 8:30 and I was going to hit the gym after that, but I went home instead. After languishing for an hour, I went to the gym and walked and did some leg work. ✅

I was only going to ride bike for 15 minutes, random intensity. I rode 32.5 at random intensity. I then got on the adductor/abductor machine for 15 minutes. My PT calls this the “good girls/bad girls machine.” I can’t unhear that!😂

I did it! Ten whole minutes on the elliptical! I then worked upper body for forty minutes. Please clap!

To be fair to myself, I went to PT and did work upper body so I skipped the gym, gym yesterday. My trainer told me today that I’m doing great and sometimes we just have “down weeks.” It’s not bad to rest the body and mind. Today I worked hard and did feel a bit reset.

I went! Didn’t wanna do it but I did. Did the elliptical to warm up and then all arms. Hopefully this puts me back in the groove. I’m going to be a grandma next week and I need my groove!!

My trainer had me doing strength training today. Funny, I don’t feel strong yet. I also feel some depression creep in so I may take a few days off from the gym. I know I should go to help stave off depression, but right now, going makes me depressed.

I had physical therapy today and went to the gym after. Didn’t want to go because my neck hurts. I ended up walking for 40 minutes on the treadmill. If I could just force myself to do more lifting. Still hate it if you’re wondering!

We hit the gym this morning and I was fully prepared to do the whole leg routine set up for me. But the last thing on the list was that stupid sled. I said “hells no!”

Apparently I’ve lost weight this month, but it’s all muscle. Granted I didn’t gain any fat, but I didn’t lose any either. Time to step up my game with more strength training. I hope I have the energy!

Really very uneventful except I didn’t want to go. But I did. Now I’m home and glad I went. These are my struggles!

I walked on the treadmill for 45 minutes at a .5 incline. My husband pointed out that HE did an actual in the mountain 5 mile hike today. His accomplishments do not outweigh mine! Just sayin’.

I had to actually work on the bike to get my heart rate up today. I know that’s progress, but my legs are not feeling grateful.

Walking on the treadmill is all I could muster today. I walked 40 minutes and I was sweating. In my book, just getting to the gym is my greatest accomplishment. Some days it’s just cardio and no strength training. Other days, it’s just cardio. It’s a win.

I can’t believe I’ve done 60 days!! I am feeling stronger! I still hate it. I’m not sure that will ever change. Today I did an “assisted stretch.” It’s like torture only you pay for it. I suppose at this point, I’ll keep going.

Is going to the bathroom to pee and also wait for your heart rate to come down from walking into the gym BEFORE getting on a treadmill considered “functional training” on my Apple Workout app? Serious question.

My heart rate was very disagreeable today. No warm-up or cool-down when the heart just says, “I’m gonna race no matter what because this all sucks!” 🤷♀️

Try the elliptical she says, it’s great for you she says. I did five minutes on that machine and then retreated to my bicycle. I also worked arms which was stupid because I had PhyTher in the afternoon and now I can’t move my arms!

I didn’t want to go because it’s my birthday, but I had a trainer today so I had no choice. I told her it was my birthday so NO SLED! She complied but still had my heart rate soaring. Sweating sucks!

Tempted not to go today because I sweated pretty hard at physical therapy. Went from PT to the gym and walked 35 minutes on the treadmill. My heart rate actually stayed in a decent range today. Oops, forgot my meds. That’s why my heart rate is low!🤦♀️
