On a lighter note, visiting Canada and seeing some differences and similarities. But when a friend pointed out that all the cars beep when being unlocked. And I heard a beep at 8am. I realised how good we have it back home.

While our media (appropriately) covers Israel’s genocide in Gaza, we have to remember others who suffer under the yoke of power-hungry authoritarians funded by fascist superpowers like the US and Russia, willing to sacrifice their citizen’s lives in their petty pursuits.

Ireland has become overly dependent on foreign direct investment through a small number of tax dodging multinationals. And have not even reaped significant rewards. More than a few countries have higher living standards with less exports and without being tax havens.

It is not enough that Simon Harris is lambasted for his treatment of one child and their now bereaving family. FFG must be held accountable for all the pediatric healthcare not being provided by the most expensive hospital in the world.

Hearing Harris twice refer to the economy in response to the recent horrendous attacks on Indians in Ireland is heartbreaking. These people are brothers, fathers, sons. They are people in their own right. Reducing them to tools for the enriching of the wealthy elite is Fine Gael to their core.
