I used Duolingo for over a year, and I don't think the amount of time I put into it is reflected in what I learned.
I've heard a *lot* of good about Pimsleur, and plan to start that soon.

So they *did* walk that back and cancel those plans, but even still, Duolingo is still "meh." It doesn't teach you language so much as it teaches you vocabulary.

I only noticed it at first in the scene where George's fiancé dies from licking cheap envelopes. It felt so out of place that a slinky stepped down her lifeless body, but on a rewatch, it was a clever way to get it into the scene.
