Might have to bookmark this thread for the future. For our five year old we've limited even tablet usage ...he's only had his hands on my old busted one used exclusively for reading Marvel Unlimited and now they hand him one in kindergarten.

It was not a great sign for the quality of Rise of Skywalker that I laughed out loud in the movie theater reading the first paragraph of the opening scrawl.

C3PO was great though. I'd watch just a supercut of his stuff.

I feel like one of the smarter moves I made as a dad was making what was intended as a joke to our son on Christmas Eve when he was 2 that maybe Santa would want a beer as a change from all of the milk and our son went and got a beer and put it with the cookies. Has been the tradition ever since.

As someone in the thick of younger kid parenting I tend to look at the Heelers as a sort of reminder that as we only see them for 8 minutes that we also can find 8 minutes to play.

I think a lot of people in the country are like my mom...never heard of him until he got shot and then had nothing to say about him because they didn't like what they learned about him and it would be rude to speak ill of the dead.

> the government project trying to social engineer us and domesticate us into sheep has been unsuccessful

it is the third most successful example of behavioral engineering ever done, following only “the wolf that lives in your house” and “the grass that wants you to eat it”

Heck, without even pulling the white vote specifically just eyeballing the county swing map points to that being correct. Arizona and Alaska you can chalk up to home state effects and the rest....

This is why I get aggravated with the anti lab grown meat folks. Let's grow that! It would be way more ethically sound and better for the environment than what we currently do.

I wouldn't have voted for this, but I think it was justifiable. So I don't know why they just don't say "The administration was willing to let people go hungry during the holidays in their efforts to jackup healthcare costs. This way you get to enjoy your holidays while we fight for a deal". Easy!

That is the text of this CR, yeah. The funding the administration was holding up was enough for, say, Thanksgiving, but I don't think there was enough for Christmas. And that likely is the motivating factor here.
