Exactly. The BBC edit reflected what HAD actually happened. The riot didn't happen after the BBC documentary, it happened immediately after Trump's speech! The edit was what those transported in (by Trump) heard - it was their 'go ahead'.

The edit was 4 years AFTER the speech. That (inciting) speech was known to everyone. It was obviously edited to reinforce the message that Trump intended the riot to happen.
