It has, on occasion, led to court action. But of course he has succeeded in doing many illegal things. There is no reason, however, not to point out that they are illegal.

Stores can price in pennies but round to the nearest 5 cents, just as gas stations price to .1 cents. It would be nice, as others commented, to have federal guidelines on HOW to round.

These events are not by any means the beginning of dissatisfaction with Schumer. He has been oblivious to the seriousness of the Trump threat from the beginning, and Democratic leadership remains way too old. I don't know who would be the best leader, but I like the approach of Sen. Van Hollen.

A minor point, but we rarely used to use the word "homeland" in any official way in the US. It always sounded fascist to me; let's get rid of the agency and take the word with it.
