What types of peppers are you growing? I have pretty good luck with burying chicken wire about 1-2” deep in my big bed containers. At least it keeps the squirrels and alley cats from digging… not sure if it would work with rats.

Wow, Gnate is a 10/10 name for a Gnome!! Great back story too. Love the klepto aspect. I bet that’s fun to play.
