All around a year: 1982 Chevy Cavalier coupe, which blew a rear oil seal at 12,500 mi. Neither GM nor the dealer would goodwill it. Then it was a 1983 Fuego Turbo, which ate clutch cables, and the interior would fall apart as you drove. Later, a 2004 Subaru Outback, which ate its transmission twice.

I know it's a bit of an apples-and-oranges comparison, but the 2nd Avenue subway line in NYC cost almost double the Norway project ($4.5B) for 1.8 miles of track and three stations.
Simply, we cannot build infrastructure with any sort of price/performance metric in the US.

I had an ‘04 WJ Grand Cherokee Laredo with the I-6 and 4wd (vs the fancier awd). I still think of it as the platonic ideal for size. It held so much stuff with that square body too. Sadly the tin worm got it but the drivetrain was still good.
