After we talked at the WSFH and I paid greater attention to your latest book, I wanted to mention that I have a piece of Lacandon pottery I bought in Chiapas in the early 90s. Have ordered your book to learn context.

Many thanks to the many scholars who came to San Francisco for the Western Society for French History's 50th anniversary conference. It was two fruitful days of engaging panels, roundtables, salons, and plenaries. I think we did the founders of the society proud.
