I have been the biggest fanboy of Aldi's for 8 years. I've shopped there exclusively. I thought they were cool. But then I found out they dropped their DEI policies more aggressively than almost any other retailer. Fuck Aldi's and all other bigots. The link they hid:

A sample tile I recently decorated. Maybe a little too busy for a backsplash?

The state seal of the Commonwealth of Virginia, adopted in 1776, depicting the Roman Goddess Virtas standing over the defeated tyrant. Sic Semper Tyrannis. Thus Always to Tyrants. What America was founded upon.

It's time to take back everything the billionaires have stolen from America! I'm ready for a candidate who promises to expose their theft and lies and lock them up. Get tough, be profane, call them what they are. And maybe the press will even cover it. If we make it loud, threatening, angry enough.

A chartreuse mixing bowl with a cloudy lavender layered on the sides. It looks a little boring in the photo, but it's quite lovely in person.

I made a (rare) visit to the evil one this morning because I needed a hoe, checked out their produce section while I was there. Veggie shelves have also been a little sparse at Aldi's as well.

How many potters, like me, had no idea until today that people are still playing Sims?

Every beginning potter has to try bubble glazing at least once. I got some cool results, but my studio smelled of dish soap for weeks. At least it didn't smell as bad as when I tried the shaving cream marbling, lol. I particularly liked the bottom of this bowl.

A dacquoise birthday cake I made for my great friend Marv. Coffee buttercream sandwiched between layers of almond and hazelnut meringue, and coated with chocolate ganache. And a little gold dust, because it's for Marv.

We had a tea party to celebrate Queen Elizabeth's Jubilee a few years back. Any excuse for a party! And a chance to use my sister's Royal Albert and Wedgewood china. With a few of my own pieces of pottery thrown in.

This is one of my few successes marbling slip on greenware. I'd love to learn to do this with more consistency.

Agateware, with figs. The squirrels shared quite a few with us last year.
