Always push yourself to one extra rep. This week I was making sales cold calls and had finished my day. I was about to close shop but said to myself. Come on. One more call. And that landed me a meeting and also made my day. Who knows. This might me this years big sale?

On great days, when I’m on vacation or just wake up happy, I go for a run and feel so great. On bad days when I feel like I’m headed for the abyss, I lace up and go for a run. It doesn’t fix anything but I get the energy and mental clarity I need to get creative and work on my problems.

A morning run is like an escape from any problems you might have. I usually meditate or listen to a book but this morning I needed a pep talk so I Rocky Balboaed myself. It was a good talk.

I am my most important client and work for myself every morning. Read the news with a cup of black. Hug the kids and fix breakfast. Head down to the gym to lift. Then the work for others can begin.

Some mornings. I step on the scale and feel fat. I get down to the gym and just go through the motions. And I feel like this all amounts to nothing. But i remind myself these are the moments when just showing up matters most. And tomorrow I will feel better and be a step closer to my goals.

First run in the real cold with minus degrees temp. My body always goes into shock and I feel as if I’ll collapse. Every year. Anybody else get this??

This morning’s routine:
-30 mins bodybuilding with deadlifts, box step ups and front squats.

….then…. 40 mins of 2 mins rounds:
-burpees
-ab work
-push ups
-pull ups
-air bike

No breaks. All out. Channel your inner Jake Paul or Tyson.
