It's "Long December" season.

Don’t build the protected bike lanes and multiuse paths for me; build them for the kids.
Two young people (elementary and pre-kindergarten) on blue Cleary bikes ride on the side of a quiet residential street. The little one has on a dinosaur shirt and a bright orange helmet. The bigger one has a gray shirt and a dark teal helmet. There is no sidewalk, which was fine on this block. For other parts of the ride, separate facilities would have made things more comfortable for the older rider and allowed the younger rider to stay on his bike rather than having to get into my cargo bike for safety.

There’s only one thing that really makes me want to fly a kite: being told not to.

Bike check: picking up kid from play practice at the mall.
A white urban arrow front-load cargo bike parked in fromt of a big beige cardboard compressing machine or something at the mall. There’s a bumper sticker on the lower part of the bike frame that says “My other car is double parked at Pizza Tree.” Pizza Tree is a great takeout spot.
