Steam Decks being out of stock now is pretty validating for my decision to get one a few weeks ago. Feels like buying new tech is only going to keep getting harder for the next while.

Angry because angry music? Or angry music because angry?

I've bounced off some of Poppy's previous releases but this new album is pretty great. There's hardly a track I don't like on it.

My wife's phone auto-updated to the liquid gl**ass** update last night and it's literally making her motion sick to use her phone now.

Good job Apple. Idiots.

We need a slur for corporations.

Just shortening it to corp still feels too neutral.

It's a little strange how "I'm unafraid to connect it to the internet" is now one of the highest praises I can give a device.

Went to see funny man James Acaster tonight. It was a great time, and that Craig Simons guy sure looks and sounds a lot like James. Uncanny, even.

I have a new theory that radio stations have monthly quotas they need to hit for specific songs.

The last couple days of January on one station it was the same song over and over almost nonstop. I haven't heard it again since.

I've noticed something interesting after more time with the Steam Deck.

If a game has compatibility issues it's usually because it lacks general controller support, not because it's incompatible with Proton/Linux. In my experience, at least. And that can usually be worked around by using […]

Had some fun setting up Ship of Harkinian (Zelda OoT PC port) on the Steam Deck.

Copying over my save was super easy because KDE Connect is a thing.

There are _so many options_ for control customization on this thing it's insane.

Oh yeah I got a Steam Deck a few days ago. I forgot to mention anything about it here.

Should've done it a while ago honestly. My wife and I love playing stuff together but we're starting to run out of splitscreen games. And now that she has a dedicated gaming machine there's a ton more games […]

I'm learning a lot from this game dev side job I picked up, but the biggest thing is how awesome it feels to get paid doing something you enjoy for a change.

Once it's over I think I'll be pretty remotivated to start looking for a full-time job change again.

I think I need to check out #deadlock again after the recent update. Anyone got any heroes they especially like playing as?

Coming up on two days of feeling really sore after the gym and I'm starting to wonder if I should have eased into it more...

So uh, I'm getting paid to make a game now.

Cool things I didn't expect to happen in 2026.

I'm tempted to start posting about how great modern hardware is just to balance out some of the threads I've been reading in my feed...😉

Learning about Linux ten years ago: "Wow there's so much customization! Multiple workspaces! Dev tooling!"

Learning about Linux today: "Wow an OS that isn't trying its hardest to pick a fight with me!"

I made an announcement post today that I'll be shutting down my gemini capsule soon. I'm letting my .xyz domain expire and it'd be too much hassle to bring it to my .com domain considering I'm really not active on gemini these days. And all my posts from the last few years are on my website […]
