This is the bridge between the Lincoln Memorial and Arlington Cemetery, founded on the estate of Robert E. Lee. A most solemn path. Not another place to put a gold Tchotchke for his legacy.

Despite the fact that they have fired so many contact people, and closed offices...it's going to be very hard to prove you are alive.

He's a fraud. He was financed into his first investment and hid his racist, NAZi sympathies until he had real power to affect government. Now, he is playing master of the universe with everyone's lives, without a clue as to how to discern reality outside a bar graph..which he also isn't so good at

Seems someone has some snake oil to sell, and science is in the way.

World Wide Wrestling, with her turning a blind eye to young men being abused by the coach...apparently a great resume for all Republicans.

That and his embrace of the dissolution of NATO in 1987, when he took a full page ad saying that in the NYT, right after his visit to Moscow, after years of taking Russian money to bail him out. youtube.com/watch?v=YsIn...

I derailed when the meeting was planned as a televised take down of a Putin foe, by Putin/ FSB assets. Shame.

Stop PRETENDING that this is an issue of negotiation, and Zalinsky won't come to the table. He was ambushed in a well organized fashion, and the only acceptable answer was if he capitulated, surrendered, and did it politely. Really...this is why I cancelled my subscription.

Who in hell would've been able to deter Putin short of overt war? His long stated objective of reconstituting Russian domination of peripheral states, dissolving NATO, and weakening the US from within with the help of his propaganda allies. Get real. Political point making doesn't hack it.
March 1, 2025 at 3:44 AM
In my over 70 years, I have never imagined a US President would set up a televised ambush, with his barking monkey by his side, basically repeat the Putin propaganda, and ask a European President after 3 years of carnage and occupation, that Putin wins. That will bring peace, and a new graveyard.

Zelinkisi's answer " We're not playing cards" will be engraved on hearts and in stone for ages as courageand love of country.Trump's words "You don't have the cards" will be remembered as well as Neville Chamberlain's as he gave Austria and the Sudatenland to Germany. A shameful self service to ego

That's not a fact check on me, you are right that these things happened and have led us here. But now we have a Russian agent of influence sitting in the Oval Office. Biden did a great deal to deter Putin, but was too slow and cautious. Trump just wants to cave to Putin

I'm in mourning for the nation I served in a military career. Trump, and his nasty little yap dog Vance don't have a clue about duty, service, or history.

Classic Trump bimbo from Fox world

Evety credible journalist and organization should walk out. Period. Leave him chatting g with Fox and some right wing blogger.

This is classic excuse making for not making a stand when it might cost you a favor or an admission of error. No American President in history has endorsed, in a whole full throated way, the assault on a sovereign nation, and a nascent democracy, and adopted all the talking points of the aggressor

I have never been so outraged and ashamed of my countrymen and women for electing this out of the closet fool, and dictator wanna be. He's weak, shallow, self obsessed, ...and everyone in Moscow and China knows it.
February 21, 2025 at 1:01 AM
The US that I served, and swore oaths to, was the linchpin of the post WWII alliance system, and international rules based order that gave us stability, economic growth, and relative peace compared to any historical period. Human rights. Moral leadership...gone in a tweet.

This arrogant, egomaniac on a crime spree needs to be guillotined.
February 20, 2025 at 3:31 AM
We worked for decades to assure reliable rules base order and peace, sometimes making mistakes because we had that mission. Now, we are being sidelined by a clever dictator trying to rebuild his country as an international superpower at everyone else's expense, and an American dupe.

Can't we just say that an unconstitutional intrusion of executive or private interest on agencies created, financed, and monitored by Congress is wholly outside our founding history, intention, and documents?
February 12, 2025 at 3:56 AM
Gee. Is it time to realize that the cost of not addressing climate change is higher than the cost of addressing it?

My daughter fired from her Sr project coordinator job at a major NGO. 1 day notice. Reason: no more projects to coordinate! 40% of the worlds foreign assistance is USAID. It's helping make their lives/places habitable. Now, they'll need to migrate even faster to our southern border. Great job.
