Reading from a book or paper is often done linearly. Proceed from start to finish. Here on bluesky there are lots of opportunities to consume along a graph or tree. But still threads of posts end up mostly linear. Is this a lack or creativity or a preference of consumption?

My inner child holds onto specific conceptions of what "fancy" technology should look like and do, and yet, I increasingly find myself captivated by things like describing a proper data ontology for working with documents. I think the inner child will come around eventually.

I wonder if infinite scroll design would feel different if there was an animated character in the corner of your page that is forced to run as you scroll. Progressively getting more tired and haggard as the infinite scroll continues. A reflection of your own mental state when you doom scroll.

I'm not an expert but Radio is a technology which seems to necessitate cooperation between parties in a way other technologies do not. If all parties who want to send a signal ignore the assigned wavelength and bandwidth limitations, it makes everyone else's project either fail or work poorly.

One can use freewriting to fish for ideas in the lakes and rivers of consciousness.

When attempting to use data to make decisions one necessarily has to cross a bridge between the realm of abstraction and the realm of measurements. Each of these realms have bridges cloaked in miasma of consciousness. It makes the journey to make data driven decisions challenging.

Many mornings I bike past a velley. Consistantly the air is much cooler feeling there. Probably an example of cold pooling. Do you have any recommendation for a radio or otherwise remote temperature sensor? I'm interested in measuring the temperature gradient.

2024 was a year where I gravitated to light themes. Previous to this year I exclusively used dark themes. Hard to imagine explaining how I enjoy light themes to my former self. Flatwhite theme from doom emacs has been an awesome thing this year.

Opossums seem like an excellent species for fiction. Lots of chances to delve into anxiety and existentialism. Questioning what "we live in a society" means for opossums might be fruitful also.

While writing I find the auto complete suggestions are a distraction to approach flow state. Certainly my words require alot of editing but I'd like to delay any external input until a time designated to editing. A similar thing is true of how I like to code, I don't want immediate suggestions
