For the past few years I've been learning more about how the brain learns, and I'm being forced to grapple a bit with my previous held beliefs - specifically around direct, explicit instruction. I'm using #CKLA for the first time, and wow! My students are engaged and learning A LOT! #sunchat

In the past I’ve encouraged my students to read by giving book talks, reading aloud the first book in a series, displaying recommended books, and using reading challenges! It’s important to stay up to date on new releases and what my students are interested in reading. #BFC530
