As a journalist in the ‘90s, I covered one of Former President Carter’s book signings, at a Sam’s Club in Plano, TX. They had his table tucked between the toilet paper and the coffee. He could not have cared less.

Carter was kind and gracious to every single person there. RIP to a truly great man.
