Let's all not forget that Meta continues to block any and all news from being shared on Facebook and Instagram, meanwhile more than 17,000 people are being evacuated from wildfire zones in northern Manitoba, where, like a lot of northern places, Facebook is an important place to get news and info.

I’m excited to share I am this year’s recipient of the 2025 CJF-CBC Indigenous Journalism Fellowship.

Beginning in September I will spend four months with the team at CBC Indigenous here in Ottawa, focusing on Indigenous healthcare. Looking forward to this new opportunity!
