If you WFH/remote for a company and are sticking with it, try to give them ~2mo notice so that they can adjust your withholdings for new state taxes. Sell/donate as much stuff as you can prior to moving, it makes things so much easier.

My wife and I did a move from TX -> MO last year. If you can fly out/visit to check out places, try to do so at least a couple months before your lease is up. We visited in mid-November, did a remote signing mid-December, and moved right after the holidays (lease was up Jan 1)
