Books I read in June. I truly enjoyed each one…except 1984 was a bit difficult to get through because it felt too real!

Fantastic turnout in Fort Myers, Florida. In this big retirement area, we had a huge increase in young people and people of color compared to previous. There was also a continuous parade of cars with signs that drove past honking horns.

I never read these kinds of books, but a dear friend sent it to me, so I’m going to give it a shot.

Best turnout in Fort Myers ever. Protesters on both sides of Rt. 41. Lots of appreciation shown by drivers via horn honks, thumbs up, and peace symbols. For a red county, very encouraging.

Sometimes you read something and it stops you in your tracks. This from Terry Tempest Williams from her book “When Women Were Birds: Fifty-four Variations on Voice.”

When I was going through an uncertain time I read this book by her and it made me feel brave. Love Poet X, too, of course.
