Science, birds, plants, poetry, environmental stuff and sundry miscellanea are likely to appear here, mostly in English, or my version of it at least.
I drop in and out of here to see if it's becoming somewhere interesting or workable to be but find it very clunky with significant refresh delays and constant loss of data as well as quiet, disappointing because I don't want to support Musk and I'm not comfortable with Mastodon's exposure & cliques

I tinker with poetry every so often but rarely share it & never know if it's ok or rubbish, I wrote this this morning & would like to read any feedback anyone cares to give, good, bad or constructive, happy for it to be pulled to pieces for the sake of growth. #poetry

Vote now, vote often; Australian Bird of the Year. TeamBudgie all the way, no other Australian Bird has had the worldwide impact our little budgerigar has, fabulous in the wild & delightful clever little companions as pets & family members. Vote for the underbird. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

The guy in the next hospital room to Mum spent all of yesterday trying to leave & just sauntered past the door dressed impeccably pushing a roller cabin baggage case. A moment later I heard a wardsman say 'Hey mate, where are you off to?'

He's going to have to come up with a less obvious disguise.

Teen's bedroom had ants everywhere, wandering aimlessly, she complained how they return despite considerable losses & never finding anything to eat there, I suggested maybe the place they're moving from is worse. There was a pause then 'So you're telling me I'm committing genocide on refugee ants?'

Greetings fellow birdy refugees, for new folk: I'm regularly facetious, my humour is mostly dry & often dark; there isn't a nasty side, I'm a voracious, omnivorous learner with completely eclectic interests, I almost never take offence but respond well to imaginary placatory chocolate just in case.
