as if "we don’t necessarily think about this as a fight" doesn't invoke imagery of a fight...🙄 maybe just take a look at this paper, guys:
"demonising china as a malign communist power it distracts us from looking at what ails western liberal democracies, presenting us with a stultifying either/or."
The Domestic Agenda for Australia’s Anti-China Rhetoric

pitting the US against china in this false "models built on democratic:autocratic values" binary is so problematic. and where's the fact checking of the "but the US has demonstrated over time that it gets this stuff right.” claim? @australia.theguardian.com

"this is the nature of how technology works. innovations come along, and then societies adapt to those innovations" is such a textbook tina (there is no alternative) logical fallacy - silencing dissent with this fait accompli attitude. why no questioning that rhetoric, @australia.theguardian.com?

"we are a non profit", my ass - no one pushes this hard for anything without having a hellavalot to gain. a good journalist/editor would follow the money @australia.theguardian.com
October 17, 2025 at 9:44 AM
this is not "breaking ranks" ffs @australia.theguardian.com, this is laying their trojan horse plans right out on the table for us all to see. "oh sure, we'll still do business there if you don't loosen copyright" babelfishes 🐟= directly to "who's gonna stop us? you little plebs down under? lol"
October 17, 2025 at 9:44 AM
the fuck?? this article is bonkers - so many problematic statements that are just run without challenge. why do you insist on manufacturing consent for shit shows, @australia.theguardian.com? what ever happened to your journalistic principal of holding the powerful to account?

You can't "deport" people who were not in your country by choice. Our flotilla humanitarians were kidnapped in international waters. They committed NO crime (they were doing our government's job for them - acting to prevent a genocide). They were never going to Israel. Try 'released' not 'deported'.

The puppet master's hand is on full display here. It's obvious Bibi's hand is further up Albo's arse than Jaime Dunn's was in Agro's. #heyheyitszionistday

Did you forget about Zomi Frankom who was tragically murdered by Israeli Occupation Forces?? The puppet master's hand is on full display here Albo. It's obvious Bibi's hand is further up your arse than Jaime Dunn's was in Agro's. #heyheyitszionistday

Honestly, y'all have been way too easy on us for way too long. We've been recipients of our own privilege for so long + so many don't want to acknowledge it. Funny how we can see that 'fear-of-losing-power' discomfort so clearly when we critique patriarchy, but struggle to turn that lense inward.

It's honestly devastating to me how one of the only mainstream news outlets I trusted has become a propaganda mouthpiece for the IOF (illegal occupation forces). Are there no critical thinkers left there at all? The devil has enough advocates, he doesn't need you, too, @australia.theguardian.com.
October 8, 2025 at 11:33 PM
When will you grow a conscience and stop manufacturing consent for a fucking genocide? This is such a pathetic excuse for journalism. I'm horrified by what @australia.theguardian.com has become in the last 732 days.
October 8, 2025 at 11:14 PM
If you're going to publish mud slung by the IOF why not sling it in both directions? At least then you could hide behind the guise of 'balance'. You've published the accusations of terrorism, where's the word GENOCIDE in this article, hey? You call them 'activists', what about 'ILLEGAL OCCUPATION'?
