It’s completely different for an institution to prohibit racial minorities and women from entering powerful spaces historically hoarded by white men versus permitting racial minorities and women a small, limited space and time in which our identities are centered.

If you're white & unsure whether it's racist to accuse people of eating pets, ask yourself: when was the last time you (or any of your white relatives) were accused on a national stage/to law enforcement of eating your neighbors' pets? #Never. #DemonizingBIPOCForWhatTheyEatAndDont.

I'm the 3rd owner of this pink backpack. I got it for one kid who passed it along to a second who then passed it to me. The backpack is still going strong with a broken zipper that I ignore because the zipper in the other direction works. I think the backpack is 15 years old! #KeepOnUsing.

Asking "What is wrong with people?" might be intended to affirm. But this question is defeatist, suggesting racism is a forever problem without a solution. Instead, name the problem (racism), acknowledge (racism = bigotry plus power), & offer support ("How can i help level the playing field?").

My kid asked me to patch their jeans rather than tossing and likely ending up in a landfill. I was glad to save mother earth also by getting a patch from someone willing to gift forward one of a pack they had instead of using a service to send me patches. #MakeEarthGreatAgain.

Kudos to Canada for this attitude on breastfeeding. I remember the hostility I faced about feeding my baby in public; and that was before I left my house. And, no, thanking another country for a great idea we can adopt does not make me un-American. It makes me ultra-American. #LearningFromAll.

Innumerable hard-working federal government employees who have served veterans, been stewards of our earth, elevated society over personal ambition, etc. are being kicked to the curb. They face no income plus significantly increased expenses and no safety net. It’s unspeakable.

If you need a surgeon, do you want a "only straight white men born to white citizens need apply need apply to medical school" society? Constraints limiting those who can build, innovate, heal, and minister to an artificially small group is not in the best interests even of the privileged.
