Thank you for addressing the “lie vs. lay” and “lying vs. laying” thing once more. That even educated people cannot grasp this difference still bemuses me.

subtly witty insults. When he met his co-star in BUNNY LAKE IS MISSING, he quipped: “Keir Dullea, gone tomorrow.” (Although, as it turns out, Keir Dullea is still here at age 89.) So it’s thanks to Sir Noël that I can even remember how to pronounce “Keir Dullea.”
