Had an (unmasked) doctor ask me this week “are you sick or just being careful” and I replied “… just being careful” and she said “you know, looking around the subway this morning, everyone coughing, I was thinking, maybe I should be wearing a mask.” MA’AM, YOU WENT TO MEDICAL SCHOOL.

I’m much more worried about this than hypothetical Cuomo (whose numbers go down as soon as voters are reminded of literally any facts about him).

I agree with your read of what she is likely trying to do (we saw similar / the same post), I just don’t find it acceptable for Hochul to know she *should* remove Adams, but delay because she doesn’t think she’d like a special election outcome.

I saw that too and if that’s her logic, she should be leaving it to the people of NYC to elect our new mayor. Cuomo is not my pick but it’s not her job to game our election. And frankly we have at least six people already openly running whereas he hasn’t declared, so that’s an assumption at best.

Say what you will about BdB, and I’ve said plenty, but my complaints about him had distinctly fewer mentions of “corruption” and “bribery” and “subverting the rule of law”

I know these comparisons are exhausting because the GOP is relentlessly hypocritical and that’s the point … but I’m just imagining what would have happened if the Obama White House had done this to any of the outlets that constantly questioned his citizenship …

I’ve been on hold for 30 min which I don’t even mind because I know every minute I wait is due to someone else is speaking to her office saying this exact thing.

I’m wondering if she should have remained in the role and simply refused to carry out the order? It seems like resigning just clears the way for someone else to become said political weapon but I don’t know who’s next in line.
