Ok, fine. I'm here. But I'ma need my communities for romance books, architecture, entertainment, movies and TV, NYC, trains, museums, LEGO, Disney, travel, classic Hollywood, art deco, mid-century modern, comic cons...and oh yes, magnets.

Not necessarily in that order.

This Barry Diller & DVF written by Barry is lovely. I had no idea theirs was a real romance... 🥰 nymag.com/intelligence...
Barry Diller: The Truth About Me and Diane von Fürstenberg
Much has been written about us, whispered about us, wondered about us. I’ll just start at the beginning and let the story unfold, writes Barry Diller.

So, uh, I keep seeing movement out of the corners of my eyes. Like I'm Love Hewitt or something. #GhostWhisperer

Magnet #1562, Good Night and Good Luck, my boyfren on Broadway. Also, I touched the Hildreth Meiere mosaics in the Red Room in One Wall and OMG, have literally been waiting decades to Get. Into. This. Damn. Room.

Also, picked up a $2k shoe like I was in Shoe Show. 😄

When your emergency dentist pops up looking like the dude on the actual cover of the romance you're currently reading.

I feel like I've read Anora so many times in every Russian dark mafia romance/erotica book. I didn't hear NY accents in my head, so that's funny.

I hadn't counted on the cuteness of my mother needing to fill the lack of dialogue in Flow with a running narrative of her own.

So windy today, I had to take my earrings off, so they wouldn't blow away. But I literally had a long sleeve and T-shirt on while walking from 10th St up to 92nd.

Tomorrow is going to be TWENTY-THREE degrees lower.

Good grief, Charlie Brown.

You know you're a New Yorker when you don't stop for yet another movie premier at the AMC Lincoln Center, and all you want is for people to get out of your damn way so you can keep walking down the sidewalk.

Incredible exhibition. Well worth a visit some time before it moves on in October.

Read the book, saw the movie when I was a kid, was just a high schooler when I visited the Annex IRL. Thought I knew the story, but still learned so much tonight.

I hope someone's keeping a casualty list directly related to this administration's reckless, shitty moves.

Mom was so excited for Beyonce's "first Grammy!"

I had to explain. But that was cute.
February 3, 2025 at 2:05 AM
Watching this with Mom, who for some reason wants to watch, even if she only knows every third person. Quite the trip.

I'm 80% through Onyx Storm. So do I race to the finish.

Or wait til 2027 or 2028 before the next book comes out.

Or wait til the show comes out, even if they haven't even finished casting yet.

Decisions, decisions.

Dislike bringing Mom to Caesars Danville, but since the casino/hotel opened it's gotten better.

Plus, they now have an Art-o-Matic, which I LOVE SO MUCH. I love these things. Bought an art block & clay earrings.

Watching a nice older couple buy a couple of things. Cute. And for a book nonprofit!

Is it just me or does everyone pulse rate and BP sky high when you get a MyChart notification of a bill or payment or letter.

I feel like I ask this every so often on social media. But is there anyone out there who might be considering opening up a George Clooney Museum?

I ask only because I have a bin of all the old magazines of his articles. And I can't bring myself to get rid of them. But it's Declutter Your January.
January 14, 2025 at 12:57 AM
In today's Decluttering Your January anecdotes. It would appear that I have only collectors boxes of seasons 2, 3 and 4 of Mad Men.

There were 7 seasons.

Why. Does someone have my copies of the other seasons? Did I never buy them. Why.

Did not have sniffling over Ronny Chieng (and his dad) while watching his latest Netflix special on my bingo card today. 😭😭😭

But also. 🤭🤭🤭

Hollywood: a movie where people are using Meta AI as Second Life.

Like, you create these AI images and then it becomes real and the consequences therein when people either

1) like their AI life better or

2) realize IRL is better and

3) realize we're all the matrix or

4) WE ARE ONE.

Man. People just be coming out of the woodwork showing themselves for who they are.

Listen. I probably needed some content warnings on The Substance for Mom. I told her it was a body horror movie, whatever the f that means. But like I know now.

Damn.

It is truly wild that it is estimated that more than 20 million people died of Covid and the prevailing vibe is that the world overreacted. That is an astonishing toll! More people died of Covid in the US than in the Civil War. www.pbs.org/newshour/hea...
5 years after it appeared, things we know and still don't know about COVID
Five years after the virus that causes COVID emerged in China it still holds some mysteries.
