I get that it could be for the comfort of others, but people can also find comfort in what they find disturbing. Again!!! Art can disturb the comforted while comfort the disturbed (idk how the quote goes).

If you don't want to encounter uncomfortable things like gore or sexual stuff, then filtering should be the best option. Not entirely removing it.

I'm not going to say the same thing everyone has been saying because they explain it better than me (in regards to Steam/Itch, payment processors, gore = nsfw).

But in the long run, it's not good imo. If they censor one thing, they will find other things to censor.

-find other places that allows these sorts of things.
Along with the fact that not all sexually themed media is meant to be just sex and that's it.

Erotic work can be artistic in its own way and can also help people process or cope with trauma. Or maybe just express themselves ykwim.
