I agree on excluding chaotic-neutral and chaotic-evil from my definition as well. Also some neutral-evil on a case-by-case basis.

I agree with this. I think my disagreement is more with the wording on the chart. I think HA has more themes about positive "meaning of Xmas"/wholesome family/neighborly stuff but is less about Xmas itself and vice-versa for ACS. HA is more positive to me but less about Xmas.

The conversation in the Church where the neighbor goes to see his granddaughter practice in the choir where Kevin convinces him to make amends with his estranged son so he can actually spend time with her and the neighbor's family reuniting at the end of the movie, for me, has more to it than ACS.

In HA, there's much stronger themes about appreciating family, making amends, and looking out for neighbors/strangers when it counts. Like he Polka band driving Kevin's frantic mom to Chicago after she can't get a flight home. Most especially it's the stuff with Kevin's "scary" older neighbor.

ACS is the comedic events of a particular Xmas and is pretty mean-spirited imo. Not a lot of genuine touching things going on there for me. I think the emotional themes of what Xmas is about are actually stronger in HA, though that's not what it's remembered for (ie, wacky hijinks and traps).

Can't make posts like that. It's just not safe.

I'm so sorry. But in my defense: the post? Jinxed it.
