Writing about self, simple living, and the root of things.

Avoiding things that need to be done creates debt.

• Avoiding an important conversation—relationship debt.
• Ignoring your finances—financial debt.
• Refusing a workout—physical debt.
• Avoiding important work—professional debt.

One thing I've learned is to be comfortable with upsetting people.

But not in the way you think ✍🏾.

I've been looking more into resilience and its connection to emotion self-regulation and post-traumatic resilience. Something I've dealt with and overcome before.

🧵 Meta-cognition: a superpower we don't realise we have

If you've ever caught yourself thinking about your own thinking, that's meta-cognition. And mastering it could be your greatest career advantage.

It's a special feeling to have people who get you without needing to always translate yourself to them. They speak your language. You share interests but enjoy the differences. Values align. You activate each other.

Do me a favor and compliment someone today. Tell an artist/creator or whoever that the thing they made is cool.

This year has started off unimaginably horrible, and it's probably not going to get better anytime soon.

Spread a bit of love. Make someone's day. We all need that now more than ever.
