Back to my home town for a few days break and a walk along the beach in humberston saw a little egret wading in the marshes, several skylark and a common sandpiper was also seen @webs-gsmp.bsky.social @lincsbirding.bsky.social

Arrived yesterday and another book for my collection it’s one I’ve been looking forward to as not to far from my home town, will be interesting to see the variations of bird trends within the region over the years @lincsbirding.bsky.social

First WeBS count of the new year from -3 and poor visibility to 2 degrees and better visibility over 2 sites. What a difference a day can make.
Lakes/canals still remain frozen in places,this didn’t stop the species seen on todays count from making an appearance (phone camera)

A foggy stroll round my local patch this afternoon with a surprise capture of a heron in mid flight (phone camera).
The usual array of Canadian geese c20, 1 herring gull, 2 coots, 2 blue tits, 2 goldfinch, 6 mallards, 3 moorhens, 1 swan, 1 robin and 2 wood pigeons.
