Horrendously considered future options if the most likely explanation I've seen yet that's not just "elaborate fiction," but I'm not sure margarine is an actively traded commodity. Butter has fallen off a cliff recently though, fwiw.

Under no circumstances do you have to hand it to the guy. He's a bad faith actor and doesn't appear to sincerely believe in anything, so it's pretty telling to take what he says seriously

Support for gay marriage has gone up essentially unabated for 25 years. You really think Dems should "moderate" on this issue?

Republicans haven't had success by becoming more moderate or meeting voters where they are. They've had success by *shaping public opinion* on things like immigration.

The wedding dress of my great great grandmother, who taught Chiang Kai-shek's wife, Soong Mei-ling, how to dance.

We are all participating in and the result of history in ways we can't even imagine.

Did you see the amazingly informative John Brown placard? No uncomfortable truth about history is overlooked
November 12, 2024 at 2:42 AM
I am constantly thinking about the John Brown exhibit in Harper's Ferry. Geared towards the casual tourist. Surface level stuff. The placard at the site of the armory takes great pains (out of very few words actually printed on it) to mention that in fact, John Brown did not have a beard.
