It became a flagship act of far right ideology and as such is beyond debate for its propagators. Same as the belief that democracy means everyone’s opinions have equal value irrespective of the subject matter (f.e vaccines/covid ).

No way on Earth would they’ve been allowed to win; their very presence at the competition is already extremely controversial; Eurovision could’ve finally faced a proper boycott over it. Just imagine: crooning about love and unity on one side of the wall, while genocide happens live on the other.
