Regenlaf’s War in Nirmathas takes months to finish a single game, its enormous rulebook written all in Fey, and it features the “conspiracy theory” that the army of molthune was bolstered by Daemons, leading it to be banned in Molthune and written of elsewhere as a product of gnomish eccentricity.

Now playing be been thinking about it all day. I wonder if it’d be more simple like civ or ridiculously detailed and need a 500 page manual like GGWITE. Then I like to imagine in universe tabletop war games. I have this imagine in my head of a gnome community playing “Regenlaf’s War in Nirmathas”

Hell, even a limited-scope wargame of just the Geb-Nex war/Impossible Lands could be great. 4 factions, each with their own unique mechanics. Geb’s undead hordes, Nex’s battemages and fleshwarps, Alkenstar+Dongun hold’s guns, and Jamelray’s martial artists and elemental genies

I don’t know if it’s my favorite game ever, but it’s up there. It certainly has the best story of a Mario game imo. It’s charming, it’s touching, and it’s pretty darn fun.

It’s so refreshing because almost everyone in the pathfinder community is in agreement that it is “woke” and we all enjoy that. The dumbfucks who complain about stuff like orcs not being genetically evil or lgbt+ inclusivity have zero foothold.

I’ve often wondered if gnomes returned to the first world, could they live forever, or do they live longer lives in areas with high first world energies, like in the land of the linnorm kings
